CALL FOR BOOK CHAPTERS - Proposed title of book: Unlocking an Untapped Potential: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Language and Development in Zimbabwe

The humanities have in the past few decades been looked down upon (Lewin 2013; London 2014). This has mainly been due to the inordinate focus placed on other domains such as the commercials and the sciences. In Zimbabwe, the last five or so years has witnessed a focus on the sciences at the expense of the humanities. The recently launched Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) programme has seen emphasis being placed on the teaching and learning of science subjects, with high school science students receiving numerous incentives such as the payment of school fees.
